Boating Outfit Inspo

Every time I invite someone new to come on our boat, I get the same question, “What do I wear?” I know this sounds SO silly but it is super easy to commit a blunder and end up uncomfortable. Here is a simple boating outfit if you are going to be on the water during the day when the temperature is 80 or above!

Ball Cap:

Boating essential…ball cap! Keeps the sun out of your eyes and your hair under control. I love this Anine Bing hat because the dark camel color can be worn year round and it’s super comfortable (there is an adjustable strap in the back).

Sunglasses:

I have shared these many times! Definitely a splurge but definitely worth it!

Sweatshirt:

I love Anine Bing sweatshirts because they are so soft and just the right amount of baggy haha. The arms have lots of extra room but the sweatshirt fits more snuggly at the waist making for an excellent fit!

Tank:

My exact tank is j.crew from a few years ago but I have linked the updated colors for the 2022 season. Going boating? Anything with stripes is IN.

Shorts:

Cutoff denim shorts are a boating MUST and I bought these to wear through the summer and transition to the fall season. They are a little longer than a lot of other denim shorts out there and that is something that I appreciate!

Shoes:

The shoes I am wearing are from a few seasons ago but again…this is the updated version! These slides are great to wear with shorts or skirts and they are perfect for a day on a boat!

Bag:

If you are looking for a splurge-worthy versatile tote bag then this one is meant for you. I bought this bag last season and use it for work but also take it on the boat and fill it with sunscreen, toiletries, towels, clothes, etc. It’s a great bag!
